On Tuesday my car broke down outside the Shipley Art Gallery in Gateshead. I had called the recovery service but was on my own and the car was blocking the lane. I was so grateful when a Dean Taxi driver stopped and offered his help he jumped started the engine but it wouldn’t keep going when the leafs were removed. This kind driver would not leave until the assistance arrived, he would not give me his name or accept any money for the fare he was missing out on by staying with me. I am so grateful for the help and kindness this man showed me. I just want everyone to know how kind the guy with the multicoloured beard was thank you so very much.

got a deans taxi from Newcastle central station recently, driver told me I wasn't British sounding had to explain I was born in the UK,1960 left in;1978 went to the USA for a career and good job, came back 2012, I no longer have a British accent, that didn't stop the insults through, it's not the first time that happened with a Dean's driver, my British wife also suffered his vile comments, I've advised everyone I know never speak anything other than the local accent as there will be ignorance, fear and hate by the drivers, travel at your own risk

I am annoyed and sad to write this review. I'm a elderly disabled lady and have used dean taxis frequently and found the drivers polite and helpful until this this driver on the 18-03-2025 from, morrisons blaydon . A white SKODA reg ST20ZCJ. When I got in the car he used his mombile for a few minutes, when he started to drive he asked was I paying cash or card I said card, he asked if I had any cash when I said not enough he asked how much money I had. This made me very uncomfortable and a little scared.I was going home to Water Gate Court Lobbly hill. As soon as we got on to the bottom of lobley
hill he kept asking for me to swipe my card, and putting the white box in front of me this was long before we reached destination I refused and said when we arrive at watergate he was not happy at this.
I did feel very uncomfortable and scared the whole journey,

Yesterday I got dean taxi from morrisons blaydon, to watergate court lobbly hill. Before the journey started driver asked if I was paying by card or cash. I told him card, he asked did I have cash. When I said not enough cash he kept asking how much cash I had.
Long before we reached destination he was keep asking me to put my card on for payment he had put on I refused several times as he had £20 on machine.
When we arrived at destination he changed the bill to match clock £12. This driver made me very uncomfortable
I must point out I use dean taxis very regular and found the drivers helpful and friendly.
