Recently used Dean’s taxi and don’t know how they could justify the cost for a last minute journey,
I know you have to pay for a service but daylight robbery!

I booked a taxi to take me to Fed Brewery. Taxi came on time with a lovely man called Tony. Booked a return taxi for 11.15 to come home. I waited till 11.30 before phoning Deans got automated reply saying they know i am waiting but they have no drivers available. Now i am well aware that its a busy time of night but the rest of my party had already left so i was a woman left standing on her own…not acceptable. I phone a further twice to get the same message. By this time it was 11.45 a further 30 minutes from said pick up time. Luckily for me some really nice person offered me a lift home.. taking them out of their way. Dean taxis this is not acceptable and i will think twice before booking you again. Also my fair was quoted as £7.80 when i got out of taxi it was £8.20 on my credit card there is 3 pending payments for £13.80 each. Hopefully these will be reinbursed and i will be paying for 1 taxi only.

I ordered a taxi via the app to take us from Wardley to the Glasshouse in Gateshead on Friday 12th December. I did this in the morning to be picked up at 7pm. The journey should take around 10/15 minutes allowing plenty of time to arrive for the show starting at 7.30pm. At 7.10 a driver had still not been assigned so I rang and spoke to an operator who said it was now a priority. 7.20 a driver was assigned. I followed him via the tracking app and could see he went the wrong way. Eventually he found us. Travelling to the venue he tried to take a short cut and almost ended up in Gateshead college car park. My husband had to keep him right. We arrived at the Glasshouse 7.40 meaning by the time we got in we'd missed the 1st 15/20 minutes of the show. We also had to disturb other people as we went in.
Coming home I decided to call up to book rather than use the app to see if it would be any better. I rang at 10.15pm and requested a taxi for 11pm using the automated service. 11pm we go to wait near the exit. No driver had been assigned. 11.15 I rang. The operator advised it was busy. Really? At Christmas? Who'd have thought it? You know its a busy time of year. Maybe put more drivers on? A 2nd phone call was made about 11.25 with a driver arriving around 11.35. I am in no way blaming the drivers, they just get assigned the jobs. It is the booking system which is at fault. DONT ACCEPT A BOOKING FOR A SPECIFIC TIME IF YOU CANT FULFIL YOUR SIDE OF IT

Pre booked taxi for this morning at 8.00am, to get me to RVI for a medical procedure. When no one showed up by 8.15, I queried why, only to be informed by an automatic voice that 'no driver had been assigned.'
A cab finally turned up at about 8.30am by which time I had manged to make alternative arrangements.
To anyone in a managerial role who might in a remote possibility be monitoring these reviews, why could someone not ring before 8.00 to warn me there were no drivers.
The least said about your automated response, the better.

My daughter pre-ordered (yesterday) a taxi for 11pm from a rural location. By 10 past it was still showing as 'assigning driver'. Booking was cancelled and Uber ordered that arrived within 5 mins. Appalling service and shame on a local company. AND.. she had to pay a cancellation fee FFS!!!
Only allows a 1 car rating.
